How Time Flys...

Wow it's been a year since I have updated. Shame on me. Sorry if there are any readers out there. Anyway...lots has happened in the Worms' household in the past year.
First we made it through all 6 weddings we had on our calendar for the year. Each were beautiful and had a great time attending all of them. Megan was in 1 of the weddings and she did a great job. Dan's sister, Catie, is getting married this year and Megan will be a flower girl. She's excited.
We made it to Florida a couple times in 2009. We have decided that the best time to go there is in November. Megan is still begging us to book a trip now to go. She LOVES Florida. Really who doesn't;-)

Megan turned 3 in December. I can't believe my baby is 3 already. She is such a talker and so smart. She loves to do crafts, cut paper, follow Dan around, and play outside. If either of us are doing anything around the house she wants to be our "helper". At day-care they pick a different "helper" every day and she is MORE then thrilled if she is chosen. It's so fun to watch her mind work and her grow up. She's so much like Dan, but I hope she'll be a mama's girl too (maybe a little scrapbooker). Oh and she is now only into dresses. Can you believe my little tom girl turned out to be a dress queen?! Putting on pants now is a threat. Also we are SO close to being completely potty trained!!!!

We spent most of our summer camping in our new travel trailer. Well it's new to us. Along with time at the cabin. We are looking forward to doing a lot more camping this summer and relaxing. Megan can't wait until we go to Baldwin to bring home the camper this year. Dan first needs to pull some tree stumps and put class 5 down next to the driveway before that can happen. Also Dan purchased a new boat this winter. He was fortunate to sell his boat and Megan and him can't wait for the ice to completely melt. It's been in our garage for almost a week and has already been washed. Megan kept telling him that it's dirty from the minute they got home. Oh she is so like him;-)
Other news in our family, which I'm sure all of you are aware of, I am pregnant. I'm due May 14th, which just happens to be fishing opener weekend. Yes Dan is not happy about the due date, but even more unhappy that it also falls the week before he would have his spring fishing trip to Lake of the Woods. We are crossing our fingers I go early like I did with Megan and it happens the end of April. So far things have been going well. We did not find out again so it will be a surprise for everyone as to what we are having. Megan wants a sister. Really she's confused because she's going to be a big sister. Dan wants a boy so he's not outnumbered. Me, I don't care I just want this baby to be here and healthy. This pregnancy has been completely opposite of Megan. It will be a complete surprise to see what we have!

Work for both of us has been very busy. For me busy season has started and I'm really going on leave at the wrong time, but a girls got to do what a girls got to do;-) My temp who will be covering me has already started. Dan's been busy as well. The way it sounds it won't let up for a while. Yeah for steady paychecks!
I promise I will try to keep this blog updated in 2010, if I still have any readers;-)

Drum role

Megan wore a dress! On Easter I was able to get a dress on my daughter! She didn't even want to take it off.

It's been a long time...

Wow! It's almost May and I haven't posted since January! Okay, time to update.

Things with us have been pretty busy. We purchased a new travel trailer camper in February. Sorry I don't have pictures. We made the mistake of going to the "camping" show again. Next year we are staying home. HA! Megan is SO excited to see the camper all the time when we go to Baldwin. It's beeing stored at my parent's house. Our plan is to take it to the cabin/lake in May and camp for almost all of those weekends in May. We are all pretty excited.
Megan FINALLY had her first haircut! It only took 2 years for her to grow enough to have it cut. Megan was thrilled that Diane was going to cut her hair. She did really good and chewed on a comb the whole time. Since then, we have had another cut.
In March over Dan's 30th birthday...we went to Florida. We hung out with Dan's parents for 3 days. It was a short trip, but it was awesome to get out of frozen MN. Here are a couple pictures of what we did. Megan had her first plane ride. When you ask her about it, she says "plane, see houses". We saw houses from the window. She's still asking to go to Florida again. She loved the pool and the beach. We ended up going when FL was having a cold snap so it was only in the 60's.

Busy Worms

Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted. We have been busy Worms at our house. I don't have pictures to post (like I said it's been busy) so I will try to get that done soon. Let's see, where to begin...

Megan amazes us each and every day. She is learning so much and is putting sentences together. We ran out of "ba's" (freezy pops) at our house a week ago. Every chance she got she would tell us "go buy ba's". We had to go to 2 different stores to find them. It seems like every day we play "Barbies", which is Mr. Potatohead. She gets the playhouse out that David bought her for Christmas and lines all of her cars up in a square and dumps out the "Barbies" for us to play with. She doesn't like it if you touch stuff b/c it's "mine", she would rather you just sit on the floor by her. She is also onto a new movie obsession. I say obsession b/c forever it was cars at our house, now it's the Bee Movie. Dan & I have learned to put it on the portable DVD player at her level and she watches 5 mins of it here and there. I think I restarted the movie twice last night.

Megan had her first haircut last weekend!! She finally had enough hair to cut! Grandneighbor Diane was awesome at making our little peanut look like a little girl. Not that she didn't, the fuzzy hair was driving us a little bananas. Still can't put it in a ponytail or anything, but at least it's now even. I'll get those pictures up soon.

What else have we been busy with...oh, I was able to spend a weekend with my girlfriends from work scrap booking a couple weekends ago. I am finally only 2 years behind. I was able to finish our wedding album last time and this time I got our honeymoon cruise book done. Now onto Megan's birth and I can start a new family book. I don't think I'll ever catch up.

We have a family vacation planned for March 1-4. Only 3 days in Florida. Megan will be joining us this time. I think she's ready (or should I say Dan & I) for the plane. The fact that she can be entertained with a movie might help. Our flights are late evening so maybe by the grace of God she'll sleep. I am so ready to get out of MN. It's been WAY too cold this winter.

Work has been very busy for both Dan and I. We are truly grateful and blessed to have jobs in this awful economic turmoil. Can you tell I've been typing economic commentaries lately?

Please also send a prayer my Dad's way. He's been having more health issues lately.

I'll will try to post some updated pictures soon.

Party!

Megan turned 2 on Friday (12-12) and it was a weekend of parties. Friday at day-care Julie threw Megan a party. We brought cupcakes for the kids. Megan wore her birthday sticker all day like a proud 2 year old would.

Our morning didn't start out wonderful. I don't think Megan wanted to be 2. She woke up screaming for an hour straight. We already had a week of being up during the night and coughing. We were an hour late for day-care and work, but she was "herself" by the time we got to Julie's.

On Sunday we had the family birthday party. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. The Klein's weren't able to make it due to a blizzard, but Dan's parents, siblings, and my parents ventured out before everything froze to celebrate our not so little girl's birthday. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts. Here are some of the highlights. Oh, she wouldn't wear pants for her party...

Cookies & Santa Oh My!

Mary Ann, Dan's mother, Megan & I went to Woodwinds Hospital to have cookies and pictures with Santa. Megan was really good and sat on Santa's lap. But what she had the most fun with was the play house and kitchen. She played for 2 hours! Here are a few pictures from our afternoon.

Swim Pool

It's been a long time so there will be multiple new posts. First Megan is our little fish. My cousin, Allison, came up with her parents to watch Megan the day after Thanksgiving. Both Dan and I had to work. Thanksgiving night Megan had some time to swim with Allison at their hotel. Let's just say she didn't want to get out after an hour! She was kicking and putting her head under water. I guess it's time to start swimming lessons. For the next couple of days she told everyone "swim pool" wherever we were.
